Lot 2: MARCOS ORLANDO VERANO ORTIZ
Orlando has been a coffee grower for 30 years. He started in a small town called San Juan, in Génova municipality where he was able to plant typica and caturra trees.
17 years ago, Orlando married Blanca and they decided to buy a farm together that they called La Armonia. They were able to build their house and have their first son called Daniel. Also, they started with coffee crops, some blueberry and to raise cattle.
Now the Verano family has 6000 coffee trees of Castillo variety. They produce other fruits to diversify their income. This is the first time that Orlando participates in a coffee quality competition. They knew they were going to get very far as they prepared the lot with a lot of dedication.
