Mario is 45 years old and has been a coffee grower for the last 26 years. He started to work in different farms until he was able to make some savings to buy his own farm. 20 years ago Mario bought the farm called Los Guaduales, where he lives with his family.
Mario's family is conformed by his wife, Dora Libia Grajales and his 17 years old son called Gilbert Duque Grajales.
Mario has been associated of the Cooperative of Coffee Growers from Manizales for the last four years, where he is able to sell his certifies coffee as Fairtrade and Cafe; Practices.
Mario has been producing specialty coffee for the last years. He was able to be part of the finalists of the Caldas Quality Competition where he was able to receive a premium price to invest in improving the farm.
